Hyde Park Sports
Hyde Park is ideal for walking, running, and jogging. Group fitness activities, with personal trainers, are also available in and around the park. Other sports activities that can be enjoyed in the park include:
Swimming – For more than 100 years, Londoners have been flocking to Hyde Park’s Serpentine Lido to enjoy the sunshine, and to go for a refreshing swim in the Serpentine. A children’s playground and a child-safe paddle pool make this spot a favourite among the young ones as well.
Hose Riding – Hyde Park is also home to a horse riding arena, as well as two specified routes for hose riding pleasure.
Cycling – Cycling is allowed on all roads in Hyde Park, as well as in designated cycle tracks. The roads can also be used for skateboarding, and roller-blading.
Tennis – The Hyde Park Tennis and Sports Centre has facilities for hire for tennis, putting, and lawn balls. A café is also located in the sports centre area, where players and those who are watching the games can have their choice of refreshments.
Football – The Old Football Pitches are available for hire at the park’s south side, through the Will to Win Tennis and Sports Centre.
